The focus of  these two websites is to deliver high quality music and to feature artists who would otherwise get  overlooked, easily buried away underneath that which most other websites consider to be the most profitable to feautre and promote on their front pages. Those, ironically, tend to be the better known, well established artists,  or those who are simply catering to current trends, palying 'follow the leader' as it were, copying what seems to be fasnionable, as opposed to daring to break 'out of the box'.

The goal of these websites is to 'break out of those boxes' as well, in order to 'push forward' out of stagnation, away from mediocrity and sameness of sound. Daring artists deserve daring promoters of daring music being featured on sites that dare to go against the grain. It's as simple as that.

One neat thing about POP is it's ability to 'randomly feature' different  artists each and every time you return to the main page. This, I believe, gives all artists an opportunity to get heard. It also gives those looking for good music to listen to an opportunity to make unique discoveries they might not make any other way. Sometimes the greatest discoveries are simply stumbled upon, but this would not be possible if someone had not had the foresight to make it possible.. This, in fact, is how I myself came to discover the artists I've added here.

Note: I've opted not to  open pages  in  new wiindows. Use the back keys in your browser to return ot a preious page. You can also right clikc and choose to open in new tab if you prefer.

POP Artists

Main Site  POP has a unique concept / approach of it's own that is well worth exploring. Here are a few examples of what you will discover on this artist friendly, listener friendly website.

I've selected from  POP's very effective random feature option some good examples of what you'll find throughout the POP catalogue. Each time you visit the main page, you get  a choice of three new offerings. A pleasant way to make  discoveries. A fair system that gives all artists on site an opportunity to be discovered while giving you, the listener, an opportunity to stumble on some really great music being made by indie artists who might otherwise remain obscure. Hopefully, here on WaveMakers, they will be given a second opportunity to be discovered.
